Staples Mill Animal Hospital

I love this place! I think I’ve seen each vet in the practice and they’re all very knowledgeable and attentive to my 3 pups. The front desk staff are wonderful as well! I always feel so welcomed. Kalyn and the other vet techs are accommodating and so helpful. I did give 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes it’s hard to get an appointment as soon as I’d like. However, the fact that they have so many patients is a testament to how great they are!

I had taken my dog to Staples Mill when I moved here about a year ago. Recently, one of my cats presented with a potential kidney issue. I called in the morning, and luckily could see him at 4:30 the same day. They took the time to get a complete history, listen to everything I had to say, and treated my cat very well. They had cat only rooms, with a little hiding place, a climbing wall, and they gave him treats on a lick mat, which he really enjoyed. When I explained that I had a trip the next day, they did the bloodwork and urine tests in house to give me a quick answer. We have a treatment plan, medicine, and I took him home about an hour later. I can’t say enough good things about this clinic!

The team of care experts that work here are so patient and so kind! Not just with my fur baby but also with my children! I brought my son along for the last vet visit and the tech was so engaging with my son - asking him questions, making him feel very important. It’s important for my children to understand what takes place during the vet visits and who is taking care of our pets. Thank you! Both visits have been top notch!

This is the best clinic ever. They are so accommodating of my fear aggressive dog who after a traumatizing visit at another clinic, would no longer let any veterinary staff touch him. Staples Mill is so willing to work with him and have been doing so with great success. He goes in tail wagging and I love that they never force or pressure him. We always leave happy.

This office is by far the best. From the staff to the care, they are top notch! My dogs got kennel cough. Despite being booked, they made room and fit me in and took care of my fur babies. Side note, my dog has stranger danger outside in the real world but at this office, Mabel has always felt comfortable and at home. I am so thankful to have such a caring veterinary family❤️🐾

***I just wanted to update my review: two years later I'm so happy with how Staples Mills has taken such amazing care of my two chihuahuas, Piper and Cooper. They're so kind and compassionate. I've had a few bad experiences at other vet offices in Burke with my chi that's aggressive (and as I've said I travel a 45 minute drive to come to Staples Mills), but the wonderful techs here amaze me with their ability to keep her calm and handle her with such skill. In all of my 48 years of having pets, this place is tops. Amazing front desk staff as well!*** My chihuahua had severe pancreatitis, was in dire straights, and is a major biter. The team at Staples Mill saved her life, and was even able to charm her enough to hold her in their arms. I've never seen any vet or tech able to do that. I'm visiting here in Woodbridge, but plan to travel to Staples Mill Vet from Burke where I live, if I ever need to take Piper to a vet in the future. They are AMAZING and well worth the extra time driving. Absolute miracles workers. She went in barely able to stand, and by the end of the day, after their IV treatments, she was dancing and wagging her tail. The front desk was extremely friendly, and patient on the phone as well, which makes a big difference when you're stressed about your dog's well-being. Thank you Staples Mill Animal Hospital!!
